Description

Ignotus is a 3D Graphic adventure where players have to unlock all the map.

It's an open map experience, players can use the map to orient themselves and find all the different point of interest.

Goals

This project was a test done for the Academy. Ihave to work on an open world map with a single mechanic.

I was looking for the mechanics that fits the most with an open world an i've chosen the POI that unlocks the map.

First of all GDD was done for the POI and the map.

Then I started thinking on what settings i could use, then i've searched for some references and started to design map zones based on that references.  

In this project I could:

  • Increase my knowledge about open worlds and how to give a sense of progression.

  • Work on Menus and map widgets.

    • Unlocking area on the map after the player reaches the POI.

    • New game and Continue

  • Improve my skills with lighting and post process.​

I had to face a problem:

  • The time was really short (1 month) so i had to cut small isles areas
